LONE WOLF The James Young Sedanca de Villes are considered the most elegant and desirable motorcars produced after the Second World War. They combine the elegance and beauty of Pre-War coasch building with the performance, convenience and reliability of the Post-War. This Phantom V is one of seven Sedanca de Villes built by James Young with body design number PV22SD. 5AT76 was built for exhibition at the 1960 Earls Court Show and was built to specifications for Mrs. Robert Tritton residing in Kent and on Grosvenor Square, London. Mrs. Tritton was designated a VIP by Rolls Royce, James Young and Jack Barclay in various transmittals which are included in the complete file for the car. Mrs. Tritton used 5AT76 for five years before having a complete cosmetic restoration performed by James Young. After another five years of service the car was sold to it's second owner in New Jersey in 1971. It appears as though the car was used sparingly until it was sold to Mr. Donavan, the proprietor of a well-regarded restoration facility in London in 1988. Straight Eight performed a thorough no-expense spared restoration and sold the car to a collector in the US in 1996. 5AT76 has traveled approximately 80,000 chauffeured miles since new. 5AT76 has been impeccably maintained and the restoration upgraded since acquired by its present owner. It has consistently received awards at significant Concours events and received a perfect score at the 1999 RROC National Meet in the Concours Class (exclusive of engine compartment detailing). 5AT76 appears in numerous Rolls Royce reference books and is well documented. The car is presented with its original specifications as ordered by Mrs. Tritton. The coachwork is in Oxford Blue with light beige leather and West of England wool in the rear. The burled walnut veneer is stunningly restored to its original elegance with full crystal bar, glasses and humidor stored in cabinets. The passenger compartment has its original air conditioning and an updated stereo. Sheepskin overlays cover the matching Wilton wool carpets. All restoration work was performed by the very best British craftsmen. Motorcars of this caliber are rarely available in the marketplace. 5AT76 has not been available to the public for nearly two decades. It is rarer still that one is offered in such significant condition mechanically and cosmetically. This is for the collector who wants and afford the very best. Serious Offers Only
